Joy Gunter Lewis, 60, of Pedro died Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Ky. She was the wife of William Lewis. She was born Feb. 27, 1954 to the late Stanley and Betty Sharp Gunter. She was of Baptist faith. She is survived by her husband, William, and daughters, Viola Slone (Michael) of Pedro, and Betty Lewis of Pedro; brothers, Stanley (Susan) Gunter of Kentucky, Dale (Diane) Gunter of South Point, and Kenneth (Sara) Gunter of Kentucky. She was preceded in death by one sister, Thelma Lewis. Graveside service will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Woodland Cemetery with Scott Jenkins officiating. Visitation will be 10-11 a.m. Monday at O’Keefe-Baker Funeral Home.

 

John Barker

John “Buddy” Barker, 61, of Greenup, Ky., died on Friday, March 14 2014, at Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital in Russell, Ky. Arrangements are pending at Bailey Family Funeral Home in Flatwoods, Ky.

Beatrice “Bea” Riley Adkins Roberts, 95 of Huntington, W.Va., died on Friday, March 14, 2014, at home.
