Jacqueline Dodson

Jacqueline Rae Dodson, 72, of Ironton, passed away Saturday, March 22, 2014, at her residence. The Ashland, Ky., native was born April 17, 1941, a daughter of the late Wilford Earl Sr. and Loretta Mae Bingum Kelley. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Russell Keith Dodson.

Mrs. Dodson attended Ironton High School and was a therapeutic aide for the Gallipolis Developmental Center.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Kelly W. Gallian and an infant, Brian A. Gallian; a brother, Wilford Kelley Jr.; and a sister, Rebecca Cunningham.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Chris (Brenda) Gallian, Jennie (Charlie) Norris, all of Ironton, Shelly (Stan) Caruthers, of Paradise, Texas, Keisha (Jim) Gillis, of Avon, Ind., and Heidi (Morris) Barrier, of McKinney, Texas; her grandchildren, Tiffany Fyffe, Heather and Sean Laber, Ashley Bowyer, Alison Caruthers, Nick and Amanda Waugh, Steven and Sami Gallian, Tyler Waugh, Joshua Barrier, Avery Barrier, and Anna Barrier; and her great-grandchildren, Evan Laber, Emma Waugh and Cade Bowyer.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Phillips Funeral Home with pastor Mike Triplett officiating. Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery and visitation will be 11 a.m. until time of service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
