GALLIPOLIS — It wasn’t the kind of opener the Fairland Lady Dragons wanted.

The Gallipolis Blue Angels took advantage of seven errors as they beat the Lady Dragons 10-3 on Tuesday.

Fairland took a 3-0 lead in the top of the third inning.

Caitlin Stone reached on an error, Ellen Hinshaw singled, and Mackenzie Riley was safe on an error as the runners scored. Riley scored on a wild pitch.

But Gallipolis answered with four runs in the bottom of the inning and added three runs each in the fourth and sixth innings.

Fairland had four hits as Mollie Morris, Ellen Hinshaw, Maddy Kazee and Tiffani Christian all went 1-3.

Fairland hosts Portsmouth Wednesday and Ironton on Saturday.
