Bennie Blankenship of Ironton was inducted into the Buckeye Big Buck Club on Feb. 15 at Ashland College.

Blakenship’s deer scored 150.8 points as it field dressed at 225 pounds. The 8-point rack was measured at 23 and one-quarter inches.

The Buckeye Big Buck Club was founded in 1957 and held its first awards dinner in 1958.

To be honored, a “typical” deer must score a minimum of 140-inch and a “non-typical” must meet a 160-inch score.

Scores are determined by a series of measurements using the Boone Crockett scoring system.
