Alvin Lewis

Alvin Lewis, 53, of Flatwoods, Ky., went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 8, 2014, in the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, Ky.

Mr. Lewis was born in Ironton on Oct. 19, 1960, a son of the late Ronald and Wilma Rideout Lewis.

Surviving are two brothers, Greg (Jackie) Lewis, of Daytona Beach, Fla., and Dana (Amy) Lewis, of Ironton; best friends, Johnny Sergent and Lonnie Rice; very special friends, John and Linnie Chandler; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation for family and friends will be 11 a.m. Sunday at the Evans Funeral Home in Raceland, Ky. with funeral services being conducted at 1 p.m. by Dr. Tom Melvin. Burial will be in Palmer Cemetery in Flatwoods.

 

 

Carrie Heck

Carrie Irene Heck, 82, of Chesapeake, died Thursday, April 10, 2014, at The Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House in Huntington, W.Va. Her husband, Homer Heck, survives her. Arrangements are pending at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory in Proctorville.
