Debra Layne

Debra C. Layne, 58, passed away Thursday, April 17, 2014, at University Hospital. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church and OES. She was employed with Accenture Federal and was previously employed with Ashland Chemical for 26 years. She was a graduate of South Point High School and Franklin University. She was preceded in death by brother, David Brubaker; sister, Juanita Pitts; and father, Donald Brubaker. She is survived by husband, Patrick “Mike” Layne; son, Aaron (Marcy) Layne; grandchildren, Caden and Annabelle Layne; mother, Rita Brubaker; brother, John (Vickie) Brubaker; sister, Susan (Sam) Pratt; and numerous other family and friends.

Services were held at Jerry Spears Funeral Home Sunday and Monday St. John Lutheran Church. Pastor Thomas Phillips officiated. Interment was in St. Paul Lutheran Church Cemetery in Westerville. Ronald Steenbergen

Ronald G. Steenbergen, 62, of Cincinnati, formerly of Ironton, died Friday, April 18, 2014, at Montgomery Care Center in Cincinnati. A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, May 3, 2014, at Springdale Church of the Nazarene in Cincinnati. Friends may call after 10 a.m. Saturday at the church.

 

 

Bernard Young

Bernard Lee Young, 82, of Huntington, W.Va., died Wednesday, April 23, 2014, at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, Huntington. Private family services will be held at a later date. Hall Funeral Home and Crematory in Proctorville assisted the family with arrangements.

 

 

Willard Hughes

Willard Garfield Hughes, 76, of South Point, died Thursday, April 24, 2014, at the Community Hospice Care Center. He is survived by his wife, Wanda Hughes. Arrangements are pending at Hall Funeral Home in Proctorville.
