Patricia Baker

Patricia A. (Trish) Baker, 60, of Worthington, Ky., died Tuesday, April 29, 2014, at Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland. She was born June 27, 1953, to the late Hershel and Marjorie Webb Johnson. She was the wife of Edward L. Baker.

She was a member of the Melrose United Methodist Church and a member of the United Methodist Women’s Club. She was preceded in death by brothers, Herschel Farris and Steve Farris; and sister, Wanda Cochran. She is survived by her husband, and daughter and son-in-law, Marjorie Baker-Stevens and Jonathan Stevens, of Boyd County, Ky.; grandson, Christopher Baker Stevens, of Boyd County; and brothers, Clifford Farris and David Farris.

Funeral will be noon Friday at O’Keefe-Baker Funeral Home with Jack Edwards and Frank Wallace officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to service. Burial will be in Bellefonte Memorial Gardens.

 

 

Thelma Malone

Thelma Margaret Malone, 79, of South Point, died Tuesday, April 29, 2014, at Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Church of Christ, 10th and Vine streets in Ironton with Jason Ridgeway officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Gardens in South Point. Visitation is from 6-8 p.m. Friday and an hour prior to the service Saturday at the church. Slack and Wallace Funeral Home in South Point is assisting the family with arrangements. Pete & Carol Hayes

Paul D. “Pete” Hayes, 91, and his wife, Carol Jane Hayes, 88, of Tallow Hill Road, Chesapeake, died Friday, Jan. 24, 2014, at home. A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory in Proctorville. Visitation will be an hour before the service. Jared Akin

Jared William Akin, 26, of Franklin Furnace, died Monday, April 28, 2014, in the Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth. Visitation will be after 6 p.m. today at the Sand Hill Christian Baptist Church in Wheelersburg. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at the church by minister Matt Mayhew. Burial will be in the Junior Cemetery in Franklin Furnace. Evans Funeral Home in Raceland, Ky., is in charge of arrangements.
