Thomas Brickey
Feb. 25, 1938-May 9, 2014
Thomas Everett Brickey, 76, of Ironton, passed away Friday, May 9, 2014, at Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital in Ashland, Ky. The Ironton native was born Feb. 25, 1938, a son to the late Everett Thomas Brickey and Ruth L. (Cameron) Brickey Pritchett.
Mr. Brickey graduated from Ironton High School. Thomas also graduated from Jackson Manpower Training School in Jackson. He worked at Clark Wire, Inc. and Wilson Sporting Goods in Ironton. He attended Quinn Chapel Church and was member of Tried Stone Baptist Church, both in Ironton.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, John E. Brickey, William “Billy” A. Brickey, Sr. and Michael Prince; a grandmother, Elizabeth Cameron; and three sisters, Mary Lou Brickey, Sharon E. Brickey and Sandra M. Brickey.
He is survived by two sons, Alan Douglas of South Point and Troy (Angie) Brickey of Logan, W.Va.; three sisters, Tanya Beatty Meadows, Chara Brickey Long and Toya Beatty, all of Pontiac, Mich.; two sisters, Joetta M. Brickey of Columbus and LouVerne (Horace) Brickey-Miller of Ironton; a brother, Glenn D. Brickey of Ironton; an uncle, Dezer B. Cameron, Jr. of Ironton; a very special niece, Tracey Brickey of Ironton; and a host of grandchildren (18), great grandchildren (2), and two stepgrandchildren.
Funeral srvices will be noon Monday at Tried Stone Baptist Church, 615 Depot Square, Ironton, with the Rev. Richard Carter officiating. Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the church.
