Trevor Foit
Trevor Dean Stephen Foit, 72, a native son of Ironton, passed into the arms of Jesus his Savior on Wednesday, May 14, 2014, after a valiant struggle with a long illness in Corpus Christi, Texas. He was the long-term owner and manager of Stephen’s Hair Fashions in downtown Ironton.
He was preceded in passing by his father, Florian (Buck) Foit, and mother, Elizabeth McKnight Foit. He is survived by his sister, Deborah Lynne Foit Munson, and her husband, Dr. Ronald Munson, of Corpus Christi, Texas; his niece, Tara Hernandez, and nephew, Paul Munson; and many cousins of the McKnight and Foit family.
He gave his heart to our Lord Jesus Christ and was baptized at Sharon Baptist Church in Ironton on Christmas Eve. He helped many in his community using his talents as a beautician for both men and women, also doing hair fashions for the dearly departed prior to their funerals at no expense.
He loved the outdoors and boated on the Ohio River and on his houseboat in Kentucky. He lived on his beloved hill out from Hecla where he had acreage with deer, turkey and wild game. He was always active chopping wood, riding his four-wheeler and enjoying God’s country. Now he is in a better place and he knows that Heaven is real!
He will be greatly missed by family and his many friends and past employees. His memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 31 at Sharon Baptist Church. Contributions may be made in his memory to your favorite ministry or charity in lieu of flowers.
