Robert Hackworth

Robert Dale Hackworth, 56, of Ironton, passed away Sunday, May 25, 2014, at OSU in Columbus. The Ironton native was born Nov. 14, 1957, a son of the late Henry Ford and Betty Hackworth.

Robert was a graduate of Rock Hill High School and was a machinist for McKorkle Machine Shop in Huntington, W.Va. He was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Rick Hackworth.

He is survived by fiancée, Regina Pauley, and her two children, Arron McFann and Amy McFann, all of Ironton; daughter, Lyndsey and Kanawha Thornsbury, of Waverly; daughter, Jade and Greg Lightle, of Waverly; brother, Hank Hackworth, of Chillicothe; and six grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Phillips Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. To offer condolences to the family please visit www.philisfuneralhome.net.
