Buckeyes’ men’s track & XC coach resigns
COLUMBUS (AP) — Ohio State says the head coach of its men’s track and field and cross country programs is resigning.
A statement from the associate athletic director for sport administration says Ed Beathea will coach the Buckeyes through the NCAA championships next week in Oregon.
Tuesday’s statement doesn’t give a reason for Beathea’s departure. He became associate head coach of the track and field program in 2006 and took over as head coach two years ago.
Ohio State says it will immediately start a national search for Beathea’s replacement.
