Paul McKinney

Paul David McKinney, lifetime resident of Lawrence County, born on Nov. 2, 1955, passed awayMonday, June 9, 2014. He was the son of Conward Paul and Edna Marie (Hollan) McKinney, both deceased. He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Wanda Bluebaum White and Fredia Vivian Huddle.

He was a Dawson-Bryant High School graduate with the Class of 1974.

Upon graduation, he married his high school sweetheart, Lu Jeania (Bryant) McKinney. Together they were blessed with one son, Paul David McKinney Jr., married to Bobbie Lynn (Chaffins) McKinney, who together gifted him with two precious granddaughters, Katrina Lynn and Sophia Grace McKinney.

He also leaves behind a sister and brother-in-law, Carol and Gary Watton, of Sciotoville; sister and brother-in-law, Sheila and Jim Trout, of Ironton; sister, Kathy Sue Fosson, of South Point; and sister and brother-in-law, Sherry and Greg Massey, of Coal Grove; along with many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.

David was a member of Johnstown Church of Rock Camp. He later attended Main Street Freewill Baptist Church of Coal Grove. He also enjoyed visits to Sandy City Freewill Baptist Church of Catlettsburg.

He graduated Summa Cum Laude from Ohio University and was a vocation instructor for 18 years teaching special needs children.

In his memory, in lieu of flowers the family wishes donations be sent to Nationwide Children’s Hospital of Columbus. In lieu of food donations can be given to the Harvest for the Hungry or City Mission in Ironton.

Paul David McKinney was greatly loved and will be missed forever by his family, extended in-law family and his many friends.

A private, family visitation and graveside funeral is being planned by O’Keefe-Baker Funeral Home in Ironton.

 

 

William Fulton

William Suel Fulton Jr., 58, of Huntington, W.Va., died Monday, June 9, 2014, at Cabell Huntington Hospital, Huntington. There will be no services. Hall Funeral Home and Crematory in Proctorville is in charge of arrangements.

 

 

Infant Smith

Infant Elisha O’Ryan Smith died Tuesday, June 10, 2014. Arrangements are pending at Bailey Funeral Home in Flatwoods, Ky.

 

 

William Hannon

William “B.J.” Hannon, 86, of Ironton, died Tuesday, June 10, 2014, at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Ky. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at the Tracy Brammer-Monroe Funeral Home. Visitation will be noon until the time of service at the funeral home.

 

 

Rickie Acre

Rickie Ray Acre, 59, of Muskegon, Mich., died Wednesday, June 11, 2014, at the Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Ky. Arrangements are pending at Brown Funeral Chapel and Jowett Family Funeral Home at Frankfort, Mich.
