Julius Cline

Julius Ray “Sonny” Cline, 71, of Ironton, went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, June 15, 2014, at Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital in Russell, Ky. The Ironton native was born April 18, 1943, the son of the late Julius and Gladys Fetters Cline.

Mr. Cline was a graduate of Dawson-Bryant High School and was of the Baptist faith. He retired from the A&P Grocery Store where he was the store manager and an employee for the Carlisle Interconnect Technology, where he worked in shipping and receiving. He loved baseball and Coal Grove football.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Carmen Cline, Catherine Collins and Barbara Cline.

He is survived by two nephews, George (Joyce) Collins, of Kitts Hill, and Steve (Debbie) Collins, of Ironton; a niece, Linda (Charles) Butler, of Ardmore, Ala.; four great-nephews, Rodney Collins and Christopher Collins, both of Columbus, and Tim Butler and Jim Butler, both of Ardmore, Ala.; and two great-nieces, Stephanie Collins, of Jackson, and Dawn Easterling, of Coal Grove.

Graveside services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Mamre Cemetery with George Collins officiating. Visitation will be 9-10 a.m. Wednesday at the Tracy Brammer-Monroe Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Rod Collins, Chris Collins, Charles Butler, Steve Collins, Ray Littlejohn and George Collins. Duane McClellan

Duane Leslie McClellan, 68, of Ironton, passed away Sunday, June 15, 2014 at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Ky. The Ironton native was born Nov. 22, 1945, a son of the late Edward and Lena Kelley McClellan. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Mary Ellen Carey McClellan, whom he married June 21, 1973.

Duane was a graduate of Ironton High School and a U.S. Army veteran. He was a former employee of AK Steel for 22 years and a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Ironton.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Ronald McClellan, Robert McClellan and Darwin McClellan.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Chris (Adrienne) McClellan, of Lexington, Ky., and Ryan McClellan, of Columbus; a sister, Debbie (Garry) Castle, of Ironton; four brothers, Kelland (Dora) McClellan, of Coal Grove, Gary (Donna) McClellan, of Franklin Furnace, Bill (Linda) McClellan and Brian (Debby) McClellan, both of Ironton; a grandson, Will McClellan, of Lexington; and a granddaughter, Gillian McClellan, of Lexington.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Phillips Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery and visitation will be 11 a.m. until time of service on Thursday at the funeral home.
