Due to a water line break on June 24 in South Point, the South Point Water Department is advising residents on the following streets to vigorously boil, for at least one minute, any water used for drinking (including water to make ice), cooking or oral hygiene: 3rd St. East and 2nd St. East from Ferry St. to McGinnis Inc. on 2nd St. The South Point Water Department has no evidence at this time the water system is contaminated. The possibility does exist however and is issuing the advisory as a precaution. If no further notice is given after Friday June 27, then the sames are normal and the water is safe.
