Hamilton is the first Reds player to be so honored since Todd Frazier in August 2012.

His 14 stolen bases ranked second in the Major Leagues (Houston’s Jose Altuve, 17sb) and are the most stolen bases in a month by a rookie since Mike Trout’s 14 steals in June 2012.

They steals are also the most by a Reds’ player since Deion Sanders stole 19 in April 1997 and the most in a month by a Reds’ rookie since Bob Bescher had 15 steals in September 1909.
