Steve Bare

Steve Bare, 74, of Lancaster fell asleep in death on July 30, 2014. He was born Aug. 27, 1939 in Ironton.

Steve was a family man, a lover of music, a painting contractor for 46 years and a faithful servant of Jehovah God as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses for 50 years, baptized July 31, 1964.

Steve is survived by his wife of 55 years, Viola Ruth; children, Jeffrey Steve (Julie) and their children Nicole Stewart (David), Gregory, and Lisa Boisclair (Jon), children of Christopher Allen, (Clara and Mike Brown) Zachary, Abby Arrasmith (Alton), Sylvia Pevarski (Bradlee), and Isaac, Vicki Lynn Diven (Nick) and their son Grant, Melanie Ruth Hildreth (Todd); two great grandchildren, Ava and Finn Stewart; and many nephews and nieces.

Steve was preceded in death by his parents, Luna and Mattie Bare; eight brothers and one sister and his son Christopher Allen.

Memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Lancaster High School, 1312 Granville Pike, Lancaster, with Dan Ebert officiating.

Dignity Cremation has taken place by Halteman-Fett & Dyer Funeral Home.

 

 

Jesse Webb

Jesse J. Webb, 76, of Ironton, passed away Wednesday, July 30, 2014, at his residence. The Lawrence County native was born Dec. 2, 1937, a son of the late Jesse Howard Webb and Alberta Sisler Webb. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Martha Rae Head Webb.

Mr. Webb attended Rock Hill High School and was a U.S. Army veteran. He was a former mechanic with Bob Clyse Oldsmobile, retiring in 1991 after 29 years of service with them. He attended the Apostolic Church of God in Hanging Rock.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Webb.

He is survived by two daughters, Patricia Webb and Carolyn Webb, both of Ironton; a son, Kenneth (Tina) Webb, of Ironton; a sister, Mary Lou Hardy, of Ironton; three grandchildren, Jayson Ratliff, Jessica White, and Selena Ruggles, all of Ironton; five great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Timothy Tackett

Timothy Wayne (Tim) Tackett, 52, of Westwood, Ky., died Tuesday, July 29, 2014, at King’s Daughters Medical Center. He was survived by his wife, Charlotte Tackett. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Caniff Funeral Home by pastor Mike Miller of Oakland Independent Baptist Church. Visitation is after 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
