PINE GROVE — There were plenty of events and plenty of winners.

The Ironton Ladies Nine Hole Golf Association held its weekly Tuesday outing last week and celebrated with five different winners.

Hostess Pat Lambert fed members breakfast treats and then announced the day’s events.

Upon the completion of the events, Lambert announced the day’s winners during lunch: Sharon Fox, Cecilia Woods, Becky Dillow, Pat Riggs and Lambert.

This week’s hostess will be Dillow. A brief business meeting is at 9 a.m. followed by golfing. New members are always welcomed.

Here Comes The Judge

Chuck Cooper — a Common Pleas Court judge — recorded a hole-in-one on Thursday, July 24, at the Ironton Country Club.

Cooper aced the No. 8 hole using a 7-iron and a Tommy Armour golf ball. The feat was witnessed by Luke McGraw.
