Jerrold Kuehne

Jerrold Kuehne, 84, of Ironton, died Thursday, Aug. 7, 2014, at Community Hospice Care Center, Ashland, Ky. He was the widower of Catherine (Kitty) Kuehne. Born Jan. 30, 1930, the son of the late William E.( Bill) Kuehne and Lula Wilburn Kuehne in Lawrence County, he was a member of 13th Street Baptist Church, Ashland, Ky., owner of Jerrold’s Auto Sales and a Korean war veteran. Preceding him were one grandson, Adam Chase Kuehne; and one great-grandson, Nicholas Chase Kuehne. Survivors include three sons, Paul and( Lisa) Kuehne, Ron and (Wendy) Kuehne and Tom Kuehne; and one daughter, Mary (Kevin) Cunningham, all of Ironton; four sisters, Juanita Eckles, of Ironton, Reba Woodruff, of Chippewa Falls Wis., June Jenkins and Jane Nelson, both of Ironton; nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren. A church memorial service will be at 6:30 p.m. today at 13th Street Baptist Church in Ashland with pastor Bill Parker officiating. Graveside burial service will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Section 10 Woodland Cemetery. Donations are requested to Community Hospice 1538 Central Ave. Ashland, KY 41101.

Peggy Lynd

Peggy Joyce O’Meara Lynd, 81, of South Point, died Friday, Aug. 8, 2014, at Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice of Huntington. Memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Schneider-Griffin Funeral Home with pastor Delmar Adkins officiating.

Peggy was born July 16, 1933, in Cabell County, W.Va., a daughter of the late Jack and Goldie McComas O’Meara. Peggy was a homemaker and liked sewing, crocheting and spending time with her grandchildren and children. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, William Earl Lynd; a great-grandchild, Baby Grace; and four brothers. Peggy is survived by her husband, William H. Lynd; four children, Greg Lynd of Claremont, N.C., Tammy Varney of Huntington, W.Va., Teresa Runyon of South Point and Jacky Rikard of Claremont, N.C.; and two grandchildren she raised as her own, William Earl Lynd of Ashland and Candy Goldie of Ashland; 12 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.

Schneider-Griffin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Sheldon Henderson, 52, of Mt. Orab, formerly of Ironton, died Thursday, Aug. 7, 2014, at his residence. He is survived by his wife, Paulette Jarrell Henderson. Funeral will be at 1 p.m. on Monday at Bailey Family Funeral Home in Flatwoods, Ky. with Brother David Morrison officiating. Burial will follow at Caroline Cemetery in Raceland, Ky.
