John Johnson

John David Johnson, 61, of Ironton, passed away Sunday, Aug. 17, 2014, at the St. Mary’s Medical Center in Huntington, W.Va. The Ironton native was born Sept. 3, 1952, a son of the late Paul and Ella Jane Blair Johnson.

Mr. Johnson attended Rock Hill Schools and was retired from Tri-State Industries. John lived with his brother, Paul and Linda Johnson, and special nephew, Ricky, and also attended the Royersville Missionary Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles Johnson and Phillip Johnson

He is survived by two brothers, Paul R. (Linda) Johnson, of Ironton, and Watt Johnson, of Hecla; two nephews, Ricky Johnson and Joush Stapleton, both of Ironton; and a niece, Terri Johnson of Ironton.

Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Thursday at the Woodland Chapel Church with brother Dave Schug officiating. Burial will follow in Sugar Creek Cemetery and visitation will be 2 p.m. until time of service on Thursday at the church. Phillips Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements. Gerald Wilds

Gerald “Jack” Wilds, 90, of Dayton, died Sunday, Aug. 17, 2014, at the VA Medical Center in Dayton. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at the Tracy Brammer-Monroe Funeral Home with the Rev. Bruce Moore officiating. Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery. Visitation is from noon until time of service at the funeral home. Paul Lewis

Paul Fred Lewis, 60, of Barboursville, W.Va., died Monday, Aug. 18, 2014, at St.Mary’s Medical Center in Huntington, WV. There will be no services.
