PINE GROVE — It was business — golfing — as usual for the Ladies Nine Hole Golf Association of the Ironton Country Club.

Betty Fraley was last week’s hostess and handled the duties of serving breakfast treats at the morning business meeting.

Fraley then announced the day’s events and sent the ladies to the golf course. Following play, Fraley announced the winners: Pat Lambert, Sharon Fox and Joyce Lewis.

Members were reminded of the Franklin Valley Invitational 18-hole tournament to be held Sept. 20.

This week’s hostess will be Cecilia Woods. A brief business meeting is held at 9 a.m. followed by golf at 9:30 and capped by lunch and the weekly awards’ presentation.

New members are always welcomed.
