Marietta to host baseball clinics

MARIETTA — Youth baseball players can get ready for the Fall Classic with some fall instruction.
The Marietta youth baseball association will conduct two clinics focusing on pitching and hitting on Saturdays, Sept. 20 and 24.
A hitting clinic for ages 5-19 will be held from 1-4 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 20.
Clinic instructors are former Cincinnati Reds’ outfielder and leadoff hitter Eddie Milner and former Reds’ first baseman Stephen Larkin, brother of Reds’ shortstop Barry Larkin.
The camp focuses on swing mechanics, feet positioning and mental approach.
Fee is $45.
The pitching clinic is for ages 7-19 and will be from 5-8 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 24. The camp instructor will be former Reds, Cleveland Indians and Detroit Tigers pitcher Milt Wilcox.
The camp focuses on mechanic, specialty pitches, pitcher’s fielding and mental approach. Fee is $45.
A special cost of $75 will be charged for both camps.
