Lady Panthers post 1-2 weekly record

CHESAPEAKE — It was a one for three week for the Chesapeake Lady Panthers’ volleyball.

The Lady Panthers won one and lost two games during the past week.

Chesapeake fell in straight sets to the South Point Lady Pointers 15-25, 14-25, 18-25 Tuesday in an Ohio Valley Conference game.

Melanie Noble, Tia Spaulding, Kelsey Huff and Jozy Jones had 9 points each for the Lady Panthers.

In the reserve match, Chesapeake lost 15-25, 14-25. Maddy Rose had 8 points for the Lady Panthers.

On Wednesday, the Lady Panthers beat Green 25-23, 22-25, 25-22 and 25-19 as Spaulding and Jones had 14 points each.

Sydney Wellman had 9 points as the Lady Panthers won the reserve game 25-8, 25-20.

In an OVC game Thursday, Chesapeake lost to Fairland in three sets, 23-25, 22-25, 16-25. Carley Lester and Jones had 10 points each to pace the Lady Panthers.

Fairland also won the junior varsity game 25-18, 25-23. Alexis Henson and Brooke Webb had 12 points each to lead the Lady Panthers.

Chesapeake hosts Fairview, Ky., on Monday, Coal Grove on Tuesday, Ironton on Thursday and visits Minford on Saturday.
