Fairland girls rally to get win

PEDRO — The Fairland Lady Dragons went the distance.

The Lady Dragons needed five sets to beat the Rock Hill Redwomen Tuesday in an Ohio Valley Conference volleyball game.

Rock Hill won the first two sets 26-24 before Fairland rallied to win the next three 25-21, 27-25 and 15-7 in the tiebreaker.

Jenna Fulks had 28 points and Nicole Wagner 21 to lead Fairland. Kelsey Riley had 15 kills, Caitlin Stone 23 digs, Mackenzie Riley 6 blacks and Emily Chapman 5 assists.

In the reserve match, Fairland won 25-6, 25-22 as Chapman scored 15 points.

Fairland visits Coal Grove Thursday for a league game.
