SOUTH POINT — Three seemed to be the key number for South Point.

The Lady Pointers used three key players to get a three-set win as they beat the Ironton Lady Fighting Tigers in an Ohio Valley Conference volleyball match Tuesday.

Leading the Lady Pointers’ trio was Olivia Abner with 10 points and 9 kills. Charlie Duncan added 13 points including 4 aces while Breanna Childers racked up 17 digs to lead the defense.

The Lady Fighting Tigers were led by Jordan Hannan with 8 points and 15 assists.

Macy Wise had 6 points and 4 kills, Lexie Washington added 6 points and Karlie Rase had 7 blocks for Ironton.

Also aiding the Ironton effort were D’Laynie Keith and Lexi Wise with 3 kills each.

Ironton visits Chesapeake on Thursday.
