Pauline Stephens

March 17, 1926-Sept. 19, 2014

Pauline C. Stephens, 88, of Ironton, passed away Friday, Sept. 19, 2014 at the Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Ky. The Lawrence County native was born March 17, 1926, the daughter of the late Owen Callicoat and Marjorie White Callicoat. Pauline was a graduate of Ironton High School and attended the University of Louisville and Kentucky University where she received her bachelor of arts. She retired in 1993 as the business office director from Centurion Hospital and was of the Protestant faith. She was a member of the Resurrection of Hope Church in Ironton and also a member of the American Legion Ladies Aux. Unit #3 in Bartow, Fla., and the VFW Aux. in Ft. Meade, Fla. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by

husband, Paul R. Stephens; and son, James Foe

She is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Roger and Linda Foe, of Ironton; daughter-in-law, Pamela Foe, of Leland, Fla.; stepson, P.R. Stephens, of Ashland, Ky.; sister, Ruth Schneider, of Ironton;

seven grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren;

and three great-great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Phillips Funeral Home with the Rev. Terry Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Monday evening. To offer condolences to the family, please visit www.phillipsfuneralhome.net.

 

 

Richard Nicholas

Richard Nicholas, 87, of Scottown, died Friday, September 19, 2014 at St. Mary’s Medical Center, Huntington, WV.

Funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Tuesday at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville. Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. Tuesday at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville.

George Hall

George Cartee Hall Sr, 78, of Huntington, W.Va., formerly of Carter City, Ky., died on Thursday, Sept. 18, 2014, at Cornerstone Hospital, Huntington. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Jean Angle Hall.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, by pastor Ronnie Tyree and pastor Jay Love.

Burial will follow at Rome Cemetery, Proctorville.

Visitation will be held 1-2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

 

 

Charles Jones

Charles Dean Jones, 73, of Proctorville, died Friday, Sept. 19, 2014, at St. Mary’s Medical Center, Huntington, WV. A visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville.
