Assault — Lawrence County Jail, Sept. 16, female inmate alleged another female hit her in the face; other inmates alleged woman hit herself.

Endangering children, possession of heroin, drug paraphernalia and drug abuse instruments — 11000 block County Road 1, Chesapeake, Sept. 16, adult probation agency serving warrants on two suspects allegedly found suspects in home using heroin with children present; Melissa Doss, 28, of 287 County Road 1, South Point, and Charles Riley, 26, of 11287 County Road 1, Chesapeake, arrested.

Possession of weapon on school property, drug paraphernalia and possession of drugs — 11000 block State Route 243, Chesapeake, Sept. 18, deputies dispatched to Collins Career Center in reference to drug activity in parking lot; two suspects found in vehicle; search of car allegedly yielded a loaded semi-automatic handgun, prescription pills and paraphernalia; Ashley Cremeans, 25, of 6774 Mud River Road, Barboursville, W.Va., and Kristopher Garretson, 24, of 155 Coleman Hill Road, Hamlin, W.Va., arrested.

Theft — 200 block Township Road 508 S., South Point, Sept. 18, anonymous person reported information about a car theft from Ohio Easy Auto Loan; deputy interviewed suspect who allegedly confessed to taking the car with the help of another suspect; Dakota Rice, 23, of 1097 County Road 1 Apt. 55, South Point, and Matthew Smith, 43, of 706 Little Solida Road, South Point, arrested.
