St. Joseph to hold games to benefit breast cancer patients

St. Joseph High School will be hosting its soccer and volleyball games to support breast cancer patients.

All money raised will benefit women in need of assistance at Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital Women’s Center.

On Wednesday, Oct. 1, the Female Flyers’ soccer team will host a “Kickin’ for a Cure” game. The game will be played against South Point Lady Pointers and will begin at 5:00 p.m.

There will be concessions that include baked goods, pizza, and drinks. During the half, a Kick on the Goal will be conducted for $1.00 a kick.

T-shirts are being ordered through the school office for the event. Interested persons may contact the office at 532-0485 by Friday to purchase a T-shirt.

On Thursday, Oct. 2, the Female Flyers’ volleyball team will host a “Volley for a Cure” game against the Rock Hill Redwomen. The reserve game will begin at 5:30 p.m., with the varsity game to follow.

There will be items raffled during the games and a concession stand with baked goods, pizza, and drinks.
