Chesapeake United Methodist Church will join with thousands of other host sites to present “Harvest America” at 7 p.m. Sunday live from Dallas, Texas.

Harvest America is an annual live nationwide event streamed to thousands of host locations including churches, theaters, and living rooms. Harvest America is more than just a webcast, it is the body of Christ banding together to proclaim the Gospel live across the nation.

The event features top Christian artists and a Gospel message by Greg Laurie. This year the featured musicians are Mercy Me. Music by “For King and Country” will begin at 6:30 p.m. The goal of Harvest America is to impact a nation desperately in need of hope.

“We have used multimedia in our church for a few years, and are thrilled to be able to use it to share this event with our entire community,” Pastor Chuck Case said. “Pastor Greg communicates very clearly and effectively and I know his message will be a blessing to all around the world who participate.”

Greg Laurie is the senior pastor of Harvest Christian Fellowship in Riverside, California, and Harvest Orange County in Irvine, California.

In 1990, Laurie began holding large-scale public evangelistic events called Harvest Crusades. Since that time, more than 5,122,708 people have attended Harvest Crusades events around the United States and internationally.
