Green sits out practice
CINCINNATI (AP) — Receiver A.J. Green missed practice on Thursday because of an injured big toe on his right foot, leaving the Bengals to prepare for a game against Carolina without him.
Green hurt the toe during the season opener and missed most of the next game. He played Sunday night during a loss at New England, but aggravated the injury and left practice on Wednesday.
Receiver Marvin Jones also sat out another practice on Thursday with a sprained ankle.
Middle linebacker Vontaze Burfict had his second consecutive full practice, an indication he’s ready to play. He sat out the last game following his second concussion of the season.
The Bengals (3-1) host Carolina (3-2) on Sunday in a matchup of division leaders.
