Some say once a band member, always a band member.

A three-volume set of the Rock Hill Band’s “Pride of Lawrence County’s Greatest Hits” contains footage of competitions from 1981 to 2013 and is being sold as a fundraiser for the Rock Hill Band Boosters

Former Rock Hill band director and booster David Bare said orders for the professionally produced DVDs are currently being taken and will be delivered the first week of November.

“The videos are $30 each or all three for $80,” he said. “The footage of competition shows is a chance for former students to relive their time as a member of the Rock Hill Marching Band.”

Bare, who was band director for 17 years, said the footage shows the band’s evolution through from the 1980s to 2000s.

Orders are being taken at the Rock Hill High School band office and at home football games against Minford today, Fairland on Oct. 17 and Chesapeake on Oct. 24.

To place an order by phone, and for more information, call 740-532-1449 or 740-307-0525.

Bare said a Facebook page is in the works.
