Gates Ellery Callens, 62, of Chesapeake, husband of Ida M. Bates Callens, died Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2014, at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House in Huntington. Funeral services will be noon Friday at Slack and Wallace Funeral Home in South Point. Burial will follow at Spring Hill Cemetery in Huntington. Visitation is an hour prior to the service.
