The goal this year is buying 350 bikes to giveaway to children at Christmas. John Dickess, of Dickess Auto Repair, and Don Schwartz, manager of Advance Auto Parts, are the organizers of the giveaway.
Also on farmers market Saturdays across the street at the Transit building the Senior Craft Store is open 9 a.m.-noon. The Transit Cafe is open 7 a.m.-noon and serves breakfast and lunch items.
“Spend your morning and enjoy the friendly atmosphere at the market, the Craft Store and the café,” Sam Heighton, market manager, said. “They have great coffee.”
