Ironton-Raceland tickets

Tickets for the Raceland at Ironton football game will be on sale during school hours in the high school auto shop office and during store hours at Iron City Hardware until noon Friday.

Senior night kickoff is 7:30 p.m. Friday. Tickets are $6 for general admission and $3 for students and senior citizens.

 

Annual Elks Hoop Shoot

contest set for Nov. 16

The Ironton Elks Lodge No. 177 will host its annual Hoop Shoot foul shooting contest at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 16, at the Ironton High School Conley Sports Center.

Registration begins at 1 p.m. Age groups are for boys and girls 8-9, 10-11 and 12-13. There is no charge.

Halloween Havoc

The Ironton Elks Lodge No. 177 will host its annual Halloween Havoc on Saturday, Nov. 1.

Tickets are $100 and admits two for dinner and drinks as well as a chance to win $16,400 in prizes including the grand prize of $10,000.

K-2 youth basketball

Instruction league at FBC

A youth instructional K-2 basketball league for boys and girls will be held at the Faith & Fitness Center of First Baptist Church in Ironton.

The league will run from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturdays: Dec. 6, 13, 20 and Jan. 10, 17. 24.

Fee is $20 (T-shirt included). Registration will be held at the Fitness Center and will be from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday Oct. 28, Thursday, Oct. 30, and 5-6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 6.

There will be 45 minutes of instruction skills and drills, 45-minute games (5-on-5), and games.

seeks tourney champs

The Ironton National Little League is trying to compile a list of all district and/or district and state championship teams since 2000.

The league is updating the monument and signage to make sure all teams are included.
