Carson Anson

Carson Levi Anson, of Leatherwood, went to be with our heavenly father on Sunday morning, Nov. 16, 2014, at Cabell Huntington Hospital.

Carson is survived by his parents, Homer William “Billy” Anson and Trista Nichole Henry-Christian; two beautiful sisters, Hayleigh Lynn Anson and Addison Hope Christian; and two honorary brothers, Darius Bowman and Aiden Suttles; paternal grandparents, Mike and Ida Anson; material grandparents, Larry and Shonnie Henry, Gregory Scott Henry and Kristi Henry; two uncles, Mike and Staycee Anson and Jonathan Anson; Aunt Tiffany Henry; great-grandparents, Oakie and Celia Haynes, the late Dewight Franklin Henry, Suzanne Malone and the late Carlton Malone; and a host of great aunts, uncles and cousins.

He is preceded in death by great-great-grandparents, Idabelle Turvey, Lonnie Butler and Norman and Mary Anson.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Phillips Funeral Home in Ironton with the Rev. Kenny Waller officiating. Burial will follow in Lawrence Furnace Cemetery. Visitation will be 11 a.m. until time of the service on Thursday at the funeral home. Donations may be made to American SIDS Institute, 528 Raven Way Naples, FL 34110. Nettie Perkins

March 17, 1938 — Nov. 17, 2014

Nettie Nan Perkins, 76, of Ironton, passed away Monday, Nov. 17, 2014, at a local nursing facility. The Lawrence County native was born March 17, 1938, a daughter to the late William and Minnie Small Coffman. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Ernest Ray Perkins, whom she married on Jan. 31, 1958.

Mrs. Perkins was a 1957 graduate of Ironton High School. She was a former cashier for J.J. Newberry’s, Kmart and Lowe’s. Mrs. Perkins attended First Church of Nazarene and enjoyed gardening.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Marjorie Coffman; a brother, Herman Coffman; and a half brother, Osey.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by sister, Betty McNeely, of Lansing, Michigan; two nieces, Janice Kay Coffman Thorissin and Rose Anne Coffman-Denim, both of Lansing; two nephews, Tom Jones, of Gladesville, West Virginia, and David Jones, of Buckeye Lake; and close friends, Carol and Wayne Harmon, of Ironton.

Graveside services will be 1 p.m. today in Woodland Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Phillips Funeral Home in Ironton is assisting the family with the arrangements. To offer condolences to the family, please visit www.phillipsfuneralhome.net.

Helen Wilson

Helen Wilson, 68, of Ironton, died Friday, Nov. 14, 2014, at her residence. Arrangements are pending at Phillips Funeral Home.

Lea Clement

Lea Nicole “Nici” Clement, 44, of Ironton, wife of Kyle E. Clement, died Saturday, Nov. 15, 2014, at Cabell Huntington Hospital. A memorial service will be at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Pine Grove Free Will Baptist Church in Ironton. The family will receive friends from 5-6:30 p.m. Thursday at the church.

 

Jacob Damron

Jacob Aaron Damron, 17, of South Point, died Sunday, Nov. 16, 2014, at St. Mary’s Medical Center. Arrangements are pending at Hall Funeral Home.
