Today on Thanksgiving Day, there are many things we should be thankful for.
So what are some of those things we should be thankful for this year?
Residents of Lawrence County and the region should be thankful for family and friends.
Be thankful for the closeness of the community that truly cares about one another.
Give thanks for what you have instead of what you do not.
While things do not always go as anticipated, be thankful in the result and the ability to learn and grow while helping shape our outlook.
Be thankful for the country we live in, because regardless of the views we have about religion or politics, we as Americans are free to form our own opinions and make decisions.
Be thankful for the area we live in. We have have wonderful natural resources and other resources that have a big-city impression while keeping our small-town feel.
So, today while around the dinner table at home, the restaurant or wherever you gather, we encourage you to remember and give thanks for people and what matters the most.
