CHESAPEAKE — A Cincinnati man who was visiting family in Chesapeake was arrested Monday following an alleged assault of a woman who was offering the man help.

The Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call at about 7:50 a.m. Monday on the 1100 block of County Road 104 in Chesapeake that an unknown male subject allegedly attacked a woman after she allowed him into her home to use the telephone to call an ambulance.

According to a press release from the sheriff’s office, Robert Brandon Eldred, 29, was in town visiting relatives and claimed he had not slept for a couple of days and that an altercation had taken place, at which point he fled the residence and arrived at a house unknown to him and asked to use the phone.
