Flyers fall to Rams

RACELAND, Ky. — The Raceland Rams used a big fourth quarter to rally past the St. Joseph Flyers 60-51 on Tuesday.

St. Joseph (1-1) trailed 15-12 at the end of the first quarter but outscored the Rams 24-13 in the second quarter to take a 36-28 lead at the break.

Raceland (1-1) got within 43-39 at the end of three quarters and then used some strong foul shooting to outscore the Flyers 21-10 in the fourth quarter.

Raceland was 18 of 30 from the foul line and the Flyers just 9 of 22.

The Flyers were led by Wulf Goheen with 19 points and Troy Scott with 14 ponts. Ben McDonald added 9 points for the short-handed Flyers who were missing two starters.

Jacob Blair had 19 points, Conner Messer 14 and Tyler Morris 13 to lead the Rams.

St. Joseph hosts Rock Hill on Friday.
