Irene Hill

Irene Hill, 85 of Ironton, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2014 at Jo-Lin Health Center. She was born in Dumfries, Virginia, on May 17, 1929, the daughter of the late Christopher and Eva (Brown) Jones.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Hill, who passed away in 2003, and one son, Howard Edwin Hill, who passed away in 1992.

She is survived by one son, Earl (Wayne) and Sharon Price of Ironton; three brothers, Jim Jones of Fredericksburg, Virginia, Sam Jones of Triangle, Virginia, and Johnny Jones of Harrisonburg, Virginia; two sisters, Phyllis Pennington of Warrenton, Virginia, and Margaret Mason of Fredericksburg, Virginia; four grandchildren; and one great grandchild.

Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. today at Locust Grove Cemetery with Dave Hopkins officiating. Visitation will be from noon-1 p.m. today at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles.

Mary Miller

Mary Anne Bame Miller, 78, of Miller, died Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2014, at home.

Eldon Rutledge

Eldon Rutledge, 80, of Proctorville, died Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2014, in Frankfort.

He is survived by his wife Barbara Rutledge. Funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, by Rev. Greg Inboden.

Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. American Legion Post #93 Kenova, West Virginia will conduct military rites at a graveside service at 2 p.m. Monday at Salem Westminster Cemetery, Westminster, by pastor Mark Bayliff.
