Chesapeake cruises past Ceramics in Big E Classic

PROCTORVILLE — The Chesapeake Panthers hit the gas pedal and rode wild.

The Panthers built a 32-point halftime lead en route to a 78-30 spanking of the Crooksville Ceramics on Saturday at the Fairland Big E Classic.

Kolton Webb knocked down three 3-pointers and scored 25 points to lead the unbeaten Panthers (3-0). Gage Rhoades scored 17 points and Brad Meadows added 11 points as 10 different players scored.

Dalton Finck had 14 points to lead Crooksville (0-3).

Webb lit up the scoreboard with 12 points including a pair of 3-pointers in the first quarter as the Panthers roared to a 24-2 lead.

Rhoades had 8 points in the second quarter as the lead ballooned to 41-9 at the half.

Rhoades scored 8 points and Webb got 7 as the Panthers built a 64-16 cushion.

The Panthers play at Rock Hill on Tuesday in an Ohio Valley Conference game.
