Bobby Bailey

Bobby Bailey, 76, of Ironton went to be with the Lord Saturday, Dec. 13, 2014, at his residence. The Ohio native was born May 24, 1938, a son of the late Ruth Fyffe Bailey and Huey Bailey. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Rosalie Haynes Bailey. Bobby attended Pedro Schools.

He was a laborer for the Dayton Malleable Company for 23 years and a custodian for the Rock Hill School District for 15 years. He was also a former member of the National Guard and a member of Etna Missionary Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Joe and George Willard Bailey; stepbrother, Ronnie Sisler. In addition to his wife he is survived by daughter, Pennie (Tony) Dilley of Ironton; son, Bobby (Sandy) Bailey Jr. of Ironton; son, Rick Bailey of Ironton; son, Mark (Tawnya) Bailey of Ironton; son, Eric (Amanda) Bailey of Franklin Furnace; daughter, Tabatha Bailey of Ironton; stepsister, Gail Haynes of Arizona; brother, Bill Bailey (Joann) of Chattanooga, Tennessee; eight grandchildren, Scott, Kevin and Brandon Dilly and Emily, Hunter, Jaina, Hadyn and Myles Bailey; two great-grandchildren, Bailey Dilley and Anna Dilley; loved by several nieces and nephews; and sister-in-law, Edna Bailey.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Phillips Funeral Home with Brother Jamie Pancake officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Tuesday. To offer condolences to the family please visit www.phillipsfuneralhome.net.

Mable Adkins

Mable Adkins, 87, of South Point, died Saturday, Dec. 13, 2014, at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, Huntington, West Virginia.

Clarence, Dunlap, 72, of Crown City, died Friday, Dec. 12, 2014. Arrangements are pending at Hall Funeral Home.

 

 

Janet Thacker

Janet Leah Thacker, 44, of Scottown, died Saturday, Dec. 13, 2014, at home. Graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Good Hope Cemetery, Scottown. There will be no visitation.
