COAL GROVE — The Coal Grove Lady Hornets went wire-to-wire.

Coal Grove led form start to finish as they beat the Rock Hill Redwomen 46-34 on Monday in an Ohio Valley Conference game.

Jacy Jones had a game-high 19 points while Emily Compliment scored 13 points to lead the Lady Hornets (4-2, 3-1)..

Kaci Russell scored 12 points and Madi Damron scored 8 points including a pair of 3-pointers to lead the Redwomen (2-3, 1-2).

The Lady Hornets took a 14-8 first quarter lead as Jones filled the nets with 10 points including a 3-pointer.

Samantha Dillon and Russell scored 4 points each in the second quarter as Rock Hill cut the deficit to 23-18 at the half. Compliment scored 5 of her 9 first half points in the quarter.

Coal Grove held the Redwomen to 5 points in the third quarter as they opened up a 35-23 lead as Jones scored 6 more points.

Five different players scored for both teams as they each had 11 points in the quarter collectively.
