Lady Panthers in tournament finals

CHESAPEAKE — It took only a couple of days to set up a rematch.
The Chesapeake Lady Panthers beat the Greenup County Lady Musketeers on Saturday in the South Point Holiday Shootout.
The two teams meet again today for the championship of the Lady Peake Holiday Tournament.
Chesapeake won the Saturday meeting 67-45 in their best offensive performance of the young season.
Today, South Point plays Lincoln County at noon in the consolation game and Chesapeake faces Greenup County at 2 p.m. in the title game.
Greenup County got 21 points from Jordan Moore who hit six 3-point goals as the Lady Musketeers beat the South Point Lady Pointers 57-41 in the first game.
Madison Kearns scored 11 points and Brooklyn Badgett 9 to lead the Lady Pointers.
Chesapeake (5-2) jumped out to a 12-2 first-quarter lead and went on to beat Lincoln County 44-34.
Kaylee Curry had 17 points and 10 rebounds to lead Chesapeake. Sydnee Hall added 12 points — she was 10 of 12 at the line — and also had 8 rebounds. Atiya Spaulding had 8 rebounds and Brooke Webb blocked three shots.
Curry had 9 points in the first quarter spurt. Hall got 6 in the third quarter.
