PEDRO — The Rock Hill Redmen were their own worst enemy.

The Redmen failed to hit shots for three quarters as they dug themselves into a 19-point deficit. They rallied in the fourth quarter but still fell 48-37 to the Oak Hill Oaks on Saturday.

“It was nothing they were doing. We were doing it to ourselves and we couldn’t hit anything until the fourth quarter,” said Rock Hill coach Dave Hopper.

Austin Collins had 21 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the Redmen (2-4). Trystan Matney had 8 rebounds.

Landon Carroll scored 11 points and Mitchell Hale 10 to lead a balanced Oak Hill offense.

Oak Hill took a 17-6 first quarter lead with Collins getting 4 points for the Redmen.

The lead went to 31-12 at the half and Collins had 6 more points in the third quarter as each team scored 8 points and it was 39-20.

But Collins scored 9 points and Brady Knipp hit a big 3-pointer as the Redmen outscored the Oaks 17-9 in the fourth quarter only to fall short in their comeback bid.
