Billie Robinson

June 2, 1939 — Jan. 14, 2015

 

Billie Robinson, 75, of Ironton, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2015, at the Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland. The Pike County, Kentucky, native was born June 2, 1939, a daughter of the late William Bradley Taylor and Bertha Taylor. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Loren Thomas Robinson, who passed away April 8, 2004.

Mrs. Robinson was a graduate of Ironton High School and received her bachelor’s degree in education from Ohio University. She was a teacher for the Rock Hill School District for 32 years, retiring in 1999, and a member of First Baptist Church in Ironton.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Susan Mae Robinson; a brother-in-law, Rondal Robinson; and a sister-in-law, Gloria Johnson.

She is survived by two sons, Chris (Julie) Robinson, of Ironton, and Eric (Tonya) Robinson, of Xenia; two sisters, Barbara Frey, of Winter Haven, Florida, and Bonnie Donahue, of Ironton; two brothers, Ted (Brenda) Taylor and Fred (Carol) Taylor, all of Ironton; four grandchildren, Derek Robinson, of Ironton, William Robinson, Owen Robinson and Sophie Robinson, all of Xenia; three sisters-in-law, Linda (Phil) Hilgenberg, of Cincinnati, Charlotte (Dennis) Miller, of Wilgus, and Anna Lou Robinson, of Deering; a brother-in-law, Keith (Helen) Robinson, of Richmond, Virginia; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Saturday at Tracy Brammer-Monroe Funeral Home with pastor Eric Barnes and pastor Clarence Baker Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Wilgus Fairview Cemetery and visitation will be from 1 p.m. until the time of the service Saturday at the funeral home. Minnie France

Minnie Mae Fortner France, 77, of Huntington, died Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2015, at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House in Huntington. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory in Proctorville by pastor Tom Jones. Burial will follow in Miller Memorial Gardens. Corney Lett

Corney C. Lett Jr., 93, of Proctorville, died Jan. 7, 2015, in Hospice House of Huntington. Private family services will take place at Hall Funeral Home in Proctorville. Burial will follow in the Woodmere Memorial Park in Huntington. Corney is survived by his wife, Erna Lee Perry Bloss Lett. James Larsen

James I. Larsen, 74, of Flatwoods, died Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2015, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. Arrangements are pending at Bailey Family Funeral Home in Flatwoods.
