A man arrested out of state and wanted in the murder of a South Point man is expected to be in Lawrence County custody this afternoon, according to Lawrence County Sheriff Jeff Lawless.

On Wednesday Justin A. Wilson, 25, was arrested in Huntington, West Virginia, by U.S. Marshals, Cabell County Sheriff’s Office, Huntington Police Department and Wayne County Sheriff’s Office.

“He waived extradition and we hope to pick him up later today,” Lawless said.

Wilson is accused of murdering Justin Adams on Jan. 13, at a home in South Point following an alleged drug-related dispute.

Wilson, with William Rice, 24, allegedly met Adams at a house on Township Road 616 demanding money they said was owed to them, according to sheriff’s investigators. At some time during the argument, Wilson allegedly pulled out a handgun shooting Adams in the face.

Wilson and Rice allegedly fled the house. Rice later turned himself in to authorities. He, along with Nicole Eller, 29, were charged with complicity to commit murder, tampering with evidence and obstructing justice.

Wilson will be in Lawrence County Municipal Court for an arraignment on Friday.
