Roy Hieronimus

Aug. 4, 1943 — Feb. 16, 2015

Roy Hieronimus, 71, of Coal Grove, passed away Monday, Feb. 16, 2015, at the Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland. The Pedro native was born Aug. 4, 1943, a son of the late Luther and Jane Kimble Hieronimus. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Linda Sue Fout Hieronimus, who passed away Feb. 6, 2002.

Mr. Hieronimus attended Waterloo High School and was a former delivery driver for the Borden Milk Company. He loved antique cars, traveling, playing cards and was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Dorothy Littlejohn, Rosea Daniels and Elizabeth Hieronimus; and a brother, Harold Hieronimus.

He is survived by three daughters, Jami McConnell, of Ironton, Gina Gibbs, of Proctorville, and Sharon Goodell, of Seattle, Washington; two sons, Mark Hieronimus, of Norfolk, Virginia, and Matthew Qureshi, of Seattle, Washington; a sister, Carolyn Daniels, of Coal Grove; two brothers, Don (Brenda) Hieronimus, of Marion, and Alva (Laray) Hieronimus, of Watertown, Tennessee; and 10 grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Monday, Feb. 23, 2015, at Phillips Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Triplett officiating. Burial will follow in Etna Cemetery and visitation will be from noon until the time of the service Monday at the funeral home. Regina Chaney

Oct. 26, 1925 — Feb. 19, 2015

Regina (Harrison) Chaney, 89, passed away Thursday, Feb. 19, 2015, with her son, Mike, and her daughter, Susan, at her side. Regina was born on Oct. 26, 1925, in Blackfork, the daughter of the late Charles C. and Mary (Spearry) Harrison.

She is survived by her children, Mike (Janet) Lambert, of Coal Grove, and Susan (John) McGowan, of Basking Ridge, New Jersey; grandchildren, Zane (Amelia) Lambert, of Zanesville, Marc Lambert, of Colonial Heights, Virginia, Rob Lambert, of South Point, Emily McGowan, of College Park, Maryland, and Andrew McGowan, of Basking Ridge, New Jersey; great-grandchildren, Allison and Clayton Lambert, of Zanesville, Lance Lambert, of Colonial Heights, Virginia, and Alex Lambert, of Ashland; brother-in-law, Ken Malone, of Pedro; sister-in-law, Dee Harrison Fulton, of Ray; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Charles Robert Lambert, who passed away in 2011; her brother, Robert Harrison; her brother, Charles Harrison; and her sister, Norma Malone.

Regina was a loving and generous mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend and will be missed by all who knew her.

Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Monday at the Lewis and Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson. A funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with pastor Terry Cavanaugh officiating. James Mineer

James Robert Mineer Jr., 50, of Ironton, husband of Bobi Keaton Mineer, died Thursday, Feb. 19, 2015, at King’s Daughters Medical Center. Arrangements are pending at Slack and Wallace Funeral Home.

 

 

Norman Wright

Rosalie Galloway

Rosalie Galloway, 73, of Proctorville, died Thursday, Feb. 19, 2015, at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House of Huntington. She is survived by her husband, Bob Galloway. Funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory in Proctorville by pastor James Dailey. Burial will follow in Miller Memorial Gardens.
