The Friends of Ironton are hosting another round of Battle of the Bands with a pretty big prize for each winner.

This year’s contests will be April 25, May 23, June 20 and July 18 at the Ro-Na Theater.

Only six bands will perform each night and the winner of each contest will get to perform in front of thousands of people on the main stage at Rally on the River.

Registration is $50 and forms can be requested from FOI member Suzie Hamlin by email at Suziq2829@yahoo.com. Include the band’s name and contact information in the body of the email.

Voting during the Battle of the Bands will be by fans only. There will be no judges’ panel this year.

Votes are $1 each or 6 for $5.

Shows will begin at 6 p.m. each night and will begin on the hour until midnight. Admission to the public is free and there will be food and drinks available for purchase.
