CG girls’ basketball

to host alumni game

Coal Grove High School girls’ basketball will sponsor a girls-only alumni basketball game at 6 p.m. on Saturday, April 25, at the school.

Anyone not interested in playing in the game but would prefer to participate in the 3-point shooting contest or free throw shooting contest are welcome.

There will also be an award for most experienced player at the game.

Door prizes will be given away.

5-on-5 tourney set

for Memorial Day

Only 1st Impressions will conduct the “Kingz of the Kourtz” 5-on-5 men’s basketball tournament May 23-24 on the outdoor courts of 9th and Madison Streets.

Entry fee is $160 for 8-player maximum roster for 16 teams. Players must be 18 or older. Entry deadline is April 23.

First place is $16,000 and a trophy.

Jeeps’ basketball to host golf scramble

The South Webster Jeeps basketball team will conduct a benefit golf scramble on Saturday, May 9, at Little Scioto Golf Course.

There will be a 9 a.m. shotgun start for the four-person scramble limited to the first 18 teams.

Check-in begins at 8:15 a.m.

Fee is $50 per person or $200 per team. Fee includes 18 holes of golf, cart, lunch and drinks. Coffee and breakfast snacks will be available in the morning.

There will be cash prizes for first, second and third place teams as well as longest drive, closet to the pin. Skins will be available for all interested teams.
