AID — Sciotoville East couldn’t seem to get a hit, but the Symmes Valley Lady Vikings had no problem.

Stephanie Brown and Kaitlyn Payne combined on a five-inning no-hitter while the Lady Vikings offense spanked out 13 hits in an 18-0 Southern Ohio Conference win on Monday.

Taylor Webb led the offense as she went 2-for-3 with a home run, a triple and three runs batted in. Tiara Hatfield was 3-3 while Brown was 2-4 with a triple and two RBIs for Symmes Valley (9-0, 8-0).

The Lady Vikings got a run in the first when Brown walked, moved up on a ground out and Hatfield doubled her home.

The Lady Vikings put together a seven-run rally in the second.

Authumn Keathley walked, Hannah Mays and Caitlyn Carpenter reached on errors and Brown tripled to empty the bases.

Webb then drilled a two-run homer over the fence in center and it was 6-0.

The Lady Vikings erupted for 10 runs in the fourth.

Webb tripled and scored on a wild pitch to start the inning.

Payne walked, Hatfield and Ross singled and Hannah Newcomb grounded out to score a run.

Payton Walsh and Makenzie Young walked and Megan McComas singled them home.

Hannah Gates walked, Payne reached on an error, M’Kenzie Sheppard hit into a fielder’s choice for a run, Kassandra Baldwin singled and Newcomb singled in a run.

The Lady Vikings visit Portsmouth Notre Dame on Wednesday.
