Easter egg hunt volunteers praised

On Tuesday, March 31, many children were thrilled to participate in the 2015 Ironton Easter Egg Hunt, organized by the Ironton Business Association, the Ironton International Association of Firefighters-Local 532, the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office and the Ironton City Health Department. Children of various age groups hunted prize filled eggs and many received Easter baskets.

This year’s event was a success, in great part, because of the many donors and volunteers who shared their time and resources. Thanks to the IBA, Ironton Firefighters-Local 532, the Herb Brown family, Ironton Giovanni’s, Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office, Friends of Ironton, Brent and Lou Pyles, Rent-2-Own, BWC Trucking, Clyse Chevrolet-GMC, Rax, Dr. Barnett and family, DESCO, Ironton City Health Department, EMA/LEPC, Ironton Alive, Ironton Holiday Inn Express and Suites, Appalachian Family and Children First Council, Julia Jones and Juanita Dalton.

Our community has much to be proud of and this event played an important role in the continuation of that pride and heritage. Thank you all.
